Qualcomm COO Resigns

Mobile semiconductor manufacturer, Qualcomm, declared the resignation of Len Lauer, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) who has joined as CEO of another company. Due to the change, from now on, QMT part of Qualcomm will report to president of QCT, Steve Mollenkopf.

Qualcomm sees the new change as a chance of enhancing collaboration between QMT (Qualcomm MEMS Technologies) and QCT (Qualcomm CDMA Technologies) because QMT is working of device manufacturing which needs support to face the challenge of commercializing, scaling and evolving the mirasol product line.

"During the past three years, Len's leadership and expertise have helped Qualcomm expand business opportunities and further strengthen its relationships with operators and content providers. We are thankful to him for his service and wish him the best as he pursues new opportunities," said Dr. Paul E. Jacobs, chairman and CEO, Qualcomm.
